Maria Smolyaninova

Born on February 6, 1989 in Moscow.

2006 — graduated with honors from Moscow Central Art School at the Russian Academy of Arts.

2012 — awarded a medal of the Russian Academy of Arts “For academic success”.

Award from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation “For creative activity and high professional achievements in art”.

2013 — graduated with honors from the Surikov Moscow State Academy of Fine Arts.

Received a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Member of the Moscow Union of Artists.

2014-2017 — interned at the Russian Academy of Arts’ creative graphic workshops.

2016 — award from the Russian Academy of Arts.

1st degree award at the 36th Youth Exhibition of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.

Since 2017 — member of the Russian Union of Artists.

Winner of the Vsadnik 4th Kazan International Biennale of printed graphics in the “Perspective” category.

2018 — awarded a silver medal from the Russian Academy of Arts.

​​2021 — winner of the 3rd International Triennial of Modern Graphics in Novosibirsk in the “Traditional technologies of printed graphics” category.

2022 — 1st degree award in the “Professional” category of the Kubachinskaya Tower 2nd International Biennale of Printed Graphics, Republic of Dagestan.

2023 — graduated from the Free Workshops School of Contemporary Art at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

Exhibiting since 2008, including in Russia, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.

Her artworks are held in private collections in Russia and abroad, as well as in the collections of the Russian Academy of Arts, the D. A. Rovinsky House of Graphics (Moscow), and the following museums in Russia:
